    The Wee Cafe at Alexandra

Each Wednesday morning the doors of the Wee Cafe in Alexandra are open to our community.

From 10am – 12noon we provide a welcoming, warm space, with a cup of tea, coffee or juice as well as some home-baked sweet treats.

There is also a Kids Corner suitable for pre-nursery aged children. Everything is completely free of charge and we’d love to see you there.

    Free Food Friday

Each Friday morning you will find the Free Food Friday table outside our church building on Castleton Avenue.

This arrives each Friday at 9.15am and is run in conjunction with Fare Share, the food waste charity. We link up with Tesco to provide food which has just gone past its sell-by date, instead of throwing it away we put it on the table and it is free to anyone who can make use of it.

You’ll find a mix of bakery, fruit and vegetable items.

    Free Food Friday

Starting this morning, we will have a table out at the Castleton Avenue entrance with bakery items and vegetables donated by Tesco. Food which is close to its use by date – and would otherwise have to be thrown out by the shop.
These items are completely free to take. There will be no-one manning the table and it can be used by anyone in the church or the community. Please help to spread to word about this in the coming weeks.
The table will be out from 9.30am each Friday and will remain there until all the food has been taken.

    Sunday Worship – 28th March 2021

This is our last online only worship* before we meet again for worship from next Sunday, 4th April. We’re opening up God’s word in 1 Samuel 15 – the seriousness of sin and the importance of repentance. In our Kids’ Corner we’re also thinking about something Jesus said to the Pharisees on ‘Palm Sunday’.
A separate video for our KFC children can be found by clicking here.
*Services from next week will still be recorded and uploaded to YouTube on a Sunday afternoon.

With thanks to Mark Graham Media, who put this together for us.
